Yuvoday is a volunteering initiative, which works on the drive of volunteers to contribute towards the development of their village and district. It does however, have a district project coordinator, block and cluster coordinators who receive remuneration.

#Youth4Change

It is often said that development is the answer to any long-standing security issue. It is also said that even after the last bullet has been shot, the ideology of extremism may still lurk in the minds of the youth. This is why Yuvoday is built on the principle of “Post Insurgency Development”. This is a step to engage the youth of the area in a positive direction so that they are prevented from taking the path of extremism in the future. Yuvoday is an innovative way of bridging the gap between the administration and the locals, especially in a place where extremism had left youngsters misguided.

Success Story

Anita set an amazing example by rushing a mother and child to the Nutrition Habilitation Centre, 12 kms away from her village, on her scooter. Seeing the 6-month-old baby, Yuvoday Anita realized that she needed to hurry. "When I visited their home, the mother was very quiet, nervous and unsure. The Anganwadi worker and ANM had earlier counselled her about proper nutrition and feeding habits. And finally, also suggested admission at the NRC. That day, the baby looked weak and dull, had been underweight and unwell. There was no time to wait for an ambulance.
